myReadings

If you have used MyReadings in the past, and wish to roll over a reading list from a previous year, please follow the instructions below.

a) In your new D2L / MyCourseLink site for your course, follow the previous instructions to add the MyReadings module and tool into your new course-site.

b) The rollover instructions below begin at step (F) of the "adding MyReadings" instructions... where you are considering creating a new reading list from scratch. At this point, choose "Create list from an existing list":

c) You will now see your previous myReadings lists. Choose the course whose reading list you would like brought over. On the right, the options read Link course to this list, vs., Duplicate list. Duplicate list might be more advisable, as this will copy the previous list, bring it into your new D2L course, and let you (or the library) make changes which won't affect your original reading list.

d) If you choose Duplicate list, on the next screen you will see some List name and List description information - adjust these as appropriate for your new course. Click CREATE LIST.

The previous year’s reading list has been rolled over. At this point you can made adjustments as needed, possibly adding new items, or even new sections. Click My List is Ready when finished.
