How to Locate Information on Education Theory & Theorists
Use these search tips/resources to locate information on Education Theory and/or Educational Theorists:
Omni Search Tips:
To find books in Omni on a theory or theorist, in Advanced Search, you can enter the name of the theorist or theory in the search box, and change the Material Type to "Books and Ebooks".
From your list of results, check the Subject Headings to find additional titles on your theory or theorist.
For example, a subject heading you can use to locate books and ebooks is "Education - philosophy - history" and you can enter it in the Omni Search box as illustrated below. Change the Search filters to "Subject" on the first line, and Material Type to "Books and Ebooks", as pictured below:
In your search results, you can further refine your search using the filters on the left side of the screen. You can filter your results to show only titles available online:
Encyclopedias and Dictionaries
Several encyclopedias and dictionaries are available to provide information pertaining to education theory and theorists. A selection of these titles are linked in the tab "Education Dictionaries, Encyclopedias and Handbooks" on this guide.
