Finding Indigenous Language Resources in the Libraries

To locate books in the libraries, search Omni, the library's search tool. For a subject search, select "Subject" as the search type in the "Any Field" drop down box.  A selection of subject headings is provided below:

  • Ojibwa language
  • Ojibwa language study and teaching
  • Cree language
  • Oji-Cree language

 

In the Education Library (Thunder Bay Campus), books on Indigenous languages as well as teaching Indigenous languages can be found in the Indigenous Language Teaching Collection and browsing these call number areas:

  • Cree language 497.323
  • Oji-Cree 497.332
  • Ojibwe 497.333
  • Algonquin 497.334
