Placement Library Services

Library Services While you are On your Placement

Extended Loan of most Education Library (Thunder Bay Campus) and Heritage Place Library (Orillia Campus) materials is available to be borrowed for the duration of your teaching placement. It will be your responsibility to return materials to the library.

Scan and Delivery of book excerpts and journal articles are available while you are on your placement. Find the book or journal title in the library Catalogue and select the Request option on the right side. Log in with your Lakehead username and password, and from the list of options, choose Request an excerpt or journal article, then on the next page, fill in the blanks on the form.

Passwords/Login Information: Some databases and software (ie OSAPAC) require a login that is not your LU email username and password. This username/password information is available in a mycourselink course site named: "Fac Ed/Library E-Tools for Teaching" , available to every Lakehead University Faculty of Education student.
