The Linda Strey Digital Learning Centre in the Bora Laskin Building was unveiled in December 2013. This digital media lab, located on the main floor of the Bora Laskin Building (BL 1007A), provides a collaborative space for Lakehead Education students to undertake projects involving technology.

This space is equipped with two iMac computers, a SMART Board to practice presentations, a DVD/VHS player recorder as well as a flatbed scanner. Computers are equipped with MSOffice, Adobe Creative Suite CS and Smart Notebook.

The lab can be signed out for one hour by an individual or two hours by a group of students . Sign out is via the Education Library Circulation Desk. The lab is available for use from the time the library opens each day until one hour before library closing.

In conjunction with this space the faculty also has available digital still cameras, digital video cameras, tripods, and digital voice recorders. All of these items can be signed out from the Education Library Circulation Desk for students to work on digital learning assignments.

The space will comfortably accommodate 3 to 4 students to work on digital learning projects or assignments.
