Virtual Reality
What is virtual reality?
Virtual reality (VR) allows a person to become immersed in a computer generated 3-dimensional environment. The simulated environments often allow the user to interact with the environment (objects, characters, etc.).
The equipment available to experience virtual reality in the Makerspace@Paterson consists of the following:
- Oculus Rift VR system - headset with headphones, two Touch controllers and two room sensors to create your virtual environment.
- Laptop computer with high-speed processor and high-end graphics card.
What applications are available for the Oculus Rift?
The following Rift applications are currently available in the Makerspace:
