Public Domain

What is Public Domain?

Public Domain refers to items (books, music, images, etc.) that are no longer protected by copyright.

In Canada, Copyright ends 70 years after the author or creator has died. So if an author passed away on July 1, 2005, then their novels will enter into Public Domain on January 1, 2076.
