Statistics

Please see Lakehead's Government Information and Data guide, for a fuller list of sources for statistics.

Statistics Canada has this Crime and Justice list of data and reports. Juristat "provides in-depth analysis and detailed statistics on a variety of topics and issues related to justice and public safety." If that link for Juristat doesn't work for you, use this link, and look for the View Most Recent Version link.

Statista, which can be found here (scroll down the list of "S" databases, to Statista) takes data from many subject areas, from many international providers such as Statistics Canada, and makes data easily searchable and viewable.

If you do a keyword search in Statista, check the filters on the right side to narrow down your topic, i.e. by limiting to Canada.

When you open up a graph / table etc, check to see where the data came from, and other information about the data on the right side.
