This guide recommends print and online resources for Education students teaching subjects in the Primary and Junior grades at Lakehead University.  Many of these resources area available in the Education Library, or when available, are linked online.  Resources listed include: approved textbooks, curriculum documents, teaching materials,  online lesson resources and collections, websites and more.

Children's Books by Subject This guide provides a list of picture books by subject available at the Education Library.

is a Scholastic online literacy resource that pairs classic video storybooks from Weston Woods with related nonfiction eBooks from Scholastic to build a love of reading and learning. The engaging way to link fact and fiction, BookFlix reinforces early reading skills and introduces children to a world of knowledge and exploration. Tumblebook Library   is a collection of electronic animated, talking picture books with fiction, non-fiction and foreign language titles for children. The Tumblebook collection includes read alongs (chapter books) ebooks, puzzles and games and TumbleResources for teachers and students.
