Distance Education Library Services

Who is Eligible?

Students who are currently enrolled in a Lakehead University online course.

Students who are attending classes on campus are not eligible to use these library services.

Borrowing from Other Universities with your Lakehead ID.

If you are in a Canadian city with a university and you are an LU student,  you may be able to borrow from that university upon presentation of your student i.d. card. Order your student card online.

Services for DE students

What kind of services do we offer? Below are some examples:

Delivery of books to your doorstep, free of charge (within Canada).

Online access to e-resources, such as e-journals, databases, and e-books.

Research help including online tutorials, chat/phone/email reference 

Near our other campus?

We have library locations in Thunder Bay and Orillia. If you need an item from the other campus, you may have items transferred from one location to another for pick up. This video shows how to search for library items and request a transfer to a different location.
