Education Library Faculty/Contract Lecturer Guide

Visiting Another University?

You can use your current Lakehead University Identification card to borrow items directly, in person,  from other Ontario university libraries, as well as other participating university libraries in Canada. These items may be returned to the lending library OR to any other university library.

Please note that all reciprocal borrowers are required to adhere to the policies in place at the lending library, including some application of fees.

Library Card & Borrowing Information

Borrowing Books:    All students, staff, faculty and contract lecturers  must present their Lakehead University Photo Identification Card in order to borrow materials from the Education Library.  

To obtain your libary/ID card: New faculty and contract lecturers must obtain their card at the Chancellor Paterson Library Circulation Desk.  Additional information is available on  the Lakehead University Photo Identification Card website.

Returning Education Contract Lecturers may obtain their card at the Education Library Circulation Desk.  You may call (343-8718) in advance to ensure that your card is available there.  Please visit the Circulation Desk with photo identification in order to obtain your new card.  

Proxy Patron

Do you have a student working for you?  They can borrow library material for you using their own card. Ask us how to set up a Proxy Patron on your account.
