Finding Reserves & Exams Video

This video demonstrates two things within D2L:

  • Checking items your prof has put on reserve
  • Searching for exams from previous years

Finding reserves & exams - Step by Step

Finding reserve readings

Your professor may have selected certain items - apart from your textbook - that he/she wants you to read during the course.

All of these items will be listed in your D2L course site.

Look for a module called Library Reserves or Library Resources.

In the case of electronic items, you will either see a .pdf or a hyperlink to a website or electronic journal article.

In the case of print items, you will see a link to the library catalogue where you can write down the call number of the book, and then come ask for the item at the library desk.

Finding past exams

In D2L there is a "course" called PastExams which all LU students should automatically be enrolled in. It should be visible in your list of courses. If it isn't visible, you can self-enroll by following these steps:

  • Log in to D2L
  • In the welcome message at the top of the page, click "What to Do if You Cannot Find a Course"
  • Scroll down to the "Other Sites -- Self-Registering for NON-Academic courses" section and click the "Self-Registration" link
  • Select the course from the list that you want to register in (in this case "Past Exams") then just follow the steps until it tells you that you have been added
